Brushwood Center

Brushwood Center came to DYE in a organization transition and rebrand. With a focus on the intersection of nature and social justice, they wanted to develop both internal (team) and external (audience) storytelling and marketing systems that encompassed the impact and reach of what Brushwood does in Lake County, IL and beyond.

How it started! // Storytelling System + Internal Strategy

  • A marketing team building + consensus sprint which included:

    • A 3 part Storytelling Workshop + Training for Staff

    • 6 months of team management + rollout of new systems

So we could create…

  • An internal + external marketing funnel bridging the gaps between the external affairs + program sides of Brushwood.

  • A messaging + storytelling bank to emphasize Brushwood’s new mission, vision, and values statements.

  • An editorial and strategic marketing calendar for the organization that considers annual signature events, fundraising efforts, and projects.

  • A new quarterly newsletter, THRIVE, which created a hub for storytelling, editorials and interviews around the environmental, health, and access issues that Brushwood’s work directly impacts.

How it’s going…
