We’re Phoebe + Jacque! 👋

We are artists turned creative directors, moonlighting as business owners.

We work to infuse any and everything with art and creativity. We deeply believe in the power of art to transform any goal, into an experience.

Hailing from merry Toronto, ON Phoebe’s background in fine art, paired with her education in Somatics and Pilates, alongside her expertise after a decade inside the Creative Entrepreneur industry, makes Phoebe ready for any and all. Her work lives at the intersection of feeling and play. She is inspired by stellar lakes, swaths of trees, and the color green. She brings all of the above to creative partnership in all its forms. Ask her about how much she loves historical costuming practices and oat milk lattes. She believes one great rock show can change the world and everyone is an artist, even you.

Jacqueline Wills (she/her) is a writer, performer, and producer. She is a storytelling expert. Her work meets in the middle of art production, facilitation, and strategy. Jacqueline uses her lifetime of theater and facilitation training to foster innovative and process driven collaboration - knowing that storytelling is our most powerful tool for change.

Jacque and Phoebe met over Instagram. Phoebe was running a collaborative design studio, Okay Shoe. Jacqueline was running an online coaching business for creatives, &arts. They sat down for a chat - (you can check it out here).

We launched Do You Ever Feel Like? - our first media project! Our drama-edy podcast asks the questions everyone is thinking, and no one is answering. The people - (you all - thank you! 😭) tuned in!

Developed from 25 years of being working artists, our approach to collaboration comes from the nourishment of our own unique artistic processes, and the curiosity to discover yours.
We approach the planning of a workshop, the building of a sales calendar, the development of a photoshoot - as if it is a drawing, a play, a chapter of a book, because we deeply believe that everything we touch is ART. We help bring your ideas, art, and stories to life from development, to production, to promotion. (AKA. ideas to make a thing, help making the thing, help promoting the thing.) 🧠

In childhood your creativity is nourished, encouraged, and celebrated. You play outside, you color, your hands get dirty. 🌿
As you grow, the very human nudge of creativity starts to be controlled - usually not supported by institution or education, and if it is (art school) you are taught there are very specific creative “rules” to follow. These rules, practices, and processes can be great, they help us understand the world and make meaning of our lives. ❤️
They help us understand the power of creativity! But, these “rules” also tell us who is an “artist”, and who isn’t. When ACTUALLY we all have the ability to access our creativity, and we can ALL benefit from understanding how artists make meaning. 🔥
Creativity is inherent, but we believe when it is fostered, that it isn’t just a soft - fuzzy - feelings skill, but a skill that is technical, can be taught, and should be taken seriously.
We can take the play that started in childhood, rediscover it, sharpen it, and develop creative literacy.
We are not the managers of YOURBRILLIANTIDEA.inc. 👨‍💼
We are not here to run your business/org/idea for you - and, you wouldn’t want us to. We are not here to save you or give you a quick fix. We are here to create alongside you. We believe whole heartedly in co-creativity, making WITH our clients. Not just FOR.
We trust you. We trust that you care about your idea just as much as we do, which is why we don’t believe in “done for you”. ⭐️
When we show up in co-creativity, when we show up to collaborate together - with you, your marketing team, your business strategist, the algos, the weather, the news, and whatever you just ate for breakfast - we’re going to find more magic, more freedom, and WAY MORE ART AND BEAUTY that way. 🤝
Don’t get us wrong, DYE HQ is full of artists that love to make stuff, but our hands don’t work without ALL of our brains coming together! ⚡️
DYE does not believe in exporting just for the sake of “productivity”. 🙄
We are constantly challenging the voice within that tells us we aren’t doing “enough”. We believe the fastest way to stifle the possibility of an idea is to hold it to any kind of “should”. It should deliver X result, it should be X way.
Our approach challenges the symptoms of capitalism and white supremacy - urgency for urgency’s sake - isn’t helpful to anyone - especially not the impact of our creative choices.
We believe that we can meet the goals of your business/project/idea/organization without the burnout or limitation of “should”.
We believe in working hard, and feeling good doing it. We believe in deep breaths. We believe in not rushing. We believe in space between meetings, and eating lunch. 🥗
We believe that if you have the privilege to work differently, you have a responsibility to work differently.

The world needs artists and their creativity, and artists need the resources of business.

We connect artists with the opportunities to shake things up, and businesses who “never would have thought to hire an artist for this!” - the level up. 😏
